“. . . I can feel the waters of my eternal ocean beckoning to me with sweeps of wave motion. . . My head disappears under water, my hands become a blur, my ‘body’ is permeable, and my skin no longer wraps around me. I am this water. I am these waves.”
- Emilie Conrad
Continuum practices increase awareness and physical capacity for conductivity and receptivity. With a longer workshop we can change the habitual sense of pacing that is part of our social world. The discrimination and experimentation with new movement possibilities open us to an ability to reset our nervous system and restore our resources for aliveness and presence.
As we engage with the various breathing, sounding, and movement practices of Continuum we find our unique creativity emerging, leading us into innovative ways of tending our own needs. Continuum’s practical applications give one the ability to shift internal states quickly: from distraction to presence, from anxiety to curiosity and from an identification with a pain body to a pleasure body. This allows a cellular receptivity that invites somatic intelligence to be your guide and companion.
Gael Rosewood met and studied with Ida Rolf, the founder of Rolfing, aka, Structural Integration, in 1969. Later Gael became an instructor at the Rolf Inst. and taught there for 15 years. In 1978 She met Emilie Conrad and Susan Harper and became an instant devotee of Continuum's explorations and practices, becoming a Continuum teacher in 1998. She has taught in Japan, across the U.S, Brazil, and four European countries. At the end of her life Emilie asked Gael to take her place in co-teaching the Continuum Wellsprings program with Robert Litman. Other influential teachers have been Judith Aston and Peter Levine.

Longer retreats allow you to go deeper.
We are starting with two days from 12pm to 6pm to support an easeful transition from socio-cultural rhythms.
Organic lunch and dinner are provided on longer days so you can stay connected to your experience without driving or transitioning off-site.
There will be about two-days of silence (from words) where your own rhythms for diving, journaling and outdoor time will lead.
There are accommodations nearby available for those participating in the retreat. Single, Queen and King-Size beds available from $75 to $150 a night for not wanting to drive. Nearby property spaces may also be available. Meals will not be provided outside the scheduled meals and full kitchen access is available for those staying on-site. Elan created a safe container for me to deeply explore my body and my self. His awareness and attunement allowed for intimacy with both myself and other members of the group. Time seemed to disappear as I dropped into myself, connecting with sensations and feelings that I often ignore or am entirely unaware of in every day life. A feeling of peace and relaxation enveloped our group and followed me home.

"You do not need to be good
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.” - Mary Oliver
